The fleece is well made and has good functionality – a zippered chest pocket, ideal for a large smart phone, and two hand warmer pockets which will take a folded OS map.There is a cinched draw cord on the hem to keep cold air out and the Polartec Thermal Pro material is warm and comfortable: it looks to be resistant to pilling. The neck on the jacket is high and cosy to wear when zipped right upThere is a long panel behind the main full length zip to keep out draughtsI am 5’10” with a 46" chest and ordered XL as per the Berghaus fitting guide – a perfect fit, with just a little extra room to spare. The sleeves are a little long on me by about an inch or two, but keep the back of my hands warm. This a great simply designed and functional thick and warm hitec fleece. Fabric is the great polartec thermal pro. This version of the fabric does not pill at all unlike some others I have found
