I bought these for my wife for an Autumn walking holiday in Scotland (and I bought myself the men's version too). They were excellent in a week of wet and windy walks.Firstly, they're easy to get on and off when wearing your boots. The side zips come up your thigh, which gives you plenty of flexibility. The zips are tough and have tags on them to make them easy to grip if you have cold hands. The poppers on the flaps add strength to prevent putting strain on the zips when hiking. And, the flap covers the zip to keep out the weather.We walked in several heavy rain storms and the trousers kept my wife dry and warm. But, they weren't sweaty, so the breathability worked too.The trousers pack down small in our backpacks and they're light.These Berghaus Deluge trousers live up to their name. They do their job, and they're good value.They made a big difference to how we enjoyed our walking holiday.

Really happy with the trousers- became my new best friend on a recent trekking adventure when we ended up trekking in unexpected snow. Perfectly waterproof and great for added warmth, really comfortable and surprisingly non-bulky and quiet to walk in!! Also not too heavy to carry. Ideal on all counts. Easy to put on over boots, good ventilation down the sides and I found the length absolutely fine (and I'm 5ft 5) as will sit over your boots without gathering up too much. Only improvement would be a pocket. So all in all definately recommend!

waterproof, tested in west highlands all day walking in pouring rain, go on and off without taking off boots. Not very lightweight, for carrying, but at the price I paid (way below RRP in the sale) they are excellent. My son has the same ones and loves them. Very comfortable when walking wearing them.

Love these!!! they really can stand a total deluge of water and still keep you dry, and they arnt sweaty like a lot of these types of trousers. Well made, a good fit, except a tiny bit tight across the bum compared to the rest of the trouser, but would buy again for sure. excellent product.

I love it. I've used it in several occasions already and they are great. I'm size 10-12 but as you wear them over, I bought size 14 and it is big and baggy so I can just wear them over on anything. I do think size 12 would have been okay though because when I wear it, I do look like I'm wearing over-sized granny's pants! But I don't mind because when you are in a situation to wear it, you don't really care how you look. What's important is that it keeps you dry and warm and they do! :) I don't mind them being big as they are still comfortable and fit well as the waist is elastic. Those who are not sure what size to get, I think it's fine to get your usual size.
