I have used this set twice successfully. The first was on a stripped screw. The extractor burrowed in and I was able to back the screw out very easily. The second test was more "off label." I needed to remove a large broken steel pin, about 3/4" around and three inches long. The extractor I chose was able to make enough of an indentation to begin pulling the pin out enough where I could grab it with pliers, so that also was a success. I can recommend this set.

Nice compact set. Handy for those few times you need to extract a stripped or rotted screw or bolt. Works well on standard household screws and bolt - not meant for any grade higher than 5 tho. For the price you need a set in your tool box. Just don't expect to drill in to or back out a 3/4" grade 8 bolt with these. Worked well for backing out a few stripped and corroded screws from our shower drain strainer/cover. Took some work but the #2 bits still have some life left in them. Good value for small jobs.

A set of these is essential for anybody who works on things. Extractors are generally my last resort as if you break one of these off, you're probably done. I've used a couple of these successfully so far and they rivaled some of the more commonly known brand name extractors.

I had a screw stripped out, didn't have my drill. The size that fit the screw and grabbed was too big for my impact driver, so I just turned it with a pair of pliers and out it came. No visible damage and no complaints
