I finally got a real urn for my son's ashes. It's very nice, and I have a nice place for it in the house he built with his , dad and uncles.I like that it doesn't look "urn-ish".I did chuckle because I have never had a package delivered that was taped up with black tape that said, "OPENED FOR CUSTOMS". Whatever we gotta do, I guess.

The description says small and it kind of is. In all seriousness, we got it for my father in law's ashes and the urn was too small - didn't want to split it up, ya know? But the wood is gorgeous! The "lightning" effect engraving on it is a bit too white in contrast to the lovely color of the brown wood, but it's ok. Took us a minute to try to figure out how to open it. I would advise that if your loved one had a larger stature, then get a larger urn. Would work perfect for a pet too.

I actually got this for one of our late cats, Oliver. He was a big part of our family for a long time, and deserved a real high quality urn. He was an indoor/outdoor cat for the first quarter of his life, until he got into a fight with a raccoon and we said no more outside for you. Which is why we decided to go with wood, representing the wild world. This is a great value, is real wood, has an amazing appearance and lots of space for your loved ones. Since I didn't need all of that space, I put some mementos we had kept of his in there, toys and a blanket that was his. He is well kept inside this. It's easy to use, easy to open and close, but I would not just dump the ashes in here, I would keep them in the container you get them in and use this as decoration around that.

My 14 year old hound passed away last year and I have bought multiple urns and boxes to hold his ashes yet none were the right fit. He was strong, courageous and was a true loving alpha in my pack. Nothing fit until I had my hands on this one. He was a large breed and his ashes fit perfectly in the larger sized urn. The lightning artwork really brings out a beauty to this urn that is hard to find. It is our favorite one that we have gotten.The price is worth it as the details are fantastic. Its easy to open and close allowing access if needed. It fits him perfectly in personality and size. I 100% recommend for any type of use.
