This is a great blanket for taking camping or even just breaking out when you're sitting around chatting outside with friends.It's fantastic for blocking wind and keeping you warm. It's really really good at both of those things. For that alone it would earn a spot on my camping list, but it's got some other things going for it too. The blanket is a good size, big enough that if spread out on the ground it can double as a picnic blanket for the family and the fleece side is nice and soft to sit on.I also love how it comes with two inbuilt large elastic bands for keeping it rolled up, and I really appreciate that it's easy to get back into the carry bag - and that the carry bag has a handle for carrying it. Those are both small things, but it's amazing how often that companies don't get those bits right.I haven't been able to test the waterproof-ness yet as we just haven't had enough rain but I think it would hold off a shower to some extent but I don't know how it would go for a picnic on wet ground. Once I've done a few winter camps I'll try and remember to come back and update this review.

My family uses this blanket for picnics and we keep it in our car in case we need it for emergencies or to keep warm for outdoor events. Haven't used it a lot but seems to work well. It’s an adequate size, good material, waterproof and smooth on one side and more of a fleece material on the other side. It’s large enough to use for a picnic blanket. It is easy to fold up and comes in a bag so it’s easy to carry with you. I recommend it but it is a little on the expensive side. Might be able to find a similar item for less cost.
