re taped the thread on mk1 audi TT, it did work and stopped the drip, not 100% how many times it will take the sump plug been taken out and put back in, but got me up and running..

This product works just as advertised. Use it in a stripped M14x1.5 sump plug and it becomes a M15x15.Saved me a fortune finding a new sump on my MK1 TT. Took barely any time for me to do.I would normally add a photo to a review on a product as good as this but it’s exactly as shown in the pictures, there’s really nothing I can add.Very easy to do, no need to drill out the old hole. It’s best done with a proper tap wrench which are cheap but possible with an adjustable spanner, just take plenty of time to make sure the tap is straight square to the hole.The plug is solid in the hole, not sloppy and no leaks, I’ve had it in for 100 miles now and still no leaks. Safe to say it’s a permanent fix.Although not necessary my sump was already removed from the car, I would be inclined to remove to sump due to Swarf getting in the engine however I am very very particular with these things and like I say it’s not necessary.I would recommend not to exceed 40NM when tightening up a sump plug. Mine is at 35NM and like I say there are no leaks at all.Great product 10/10
