I love the complex aroma and flavor... it is not as pungent as Saigon or other Cassia. This is true cinnamon, the real stuff and may take some getting used to for American palates. Awesome delivery and packaging. I've bought four packages, just bought two because I see stock is low and I don't want to miss out!I put a stick in my coffee cup first thing in the morning. I Leave it there for refills (2-4) during the day. I'd keep it longer ... flavor still there... but I figure I better not mix dairy and time. Fresh stick daily, the bag lasts a month or two. Not a bad "per cup" price. I have not used this cinnamon for anything else, but I plan to.ENJOY!

A few years back I learned about making a tea that not only tastes great, but made you feel better. It consisted of tumeric, ginger, and cinnamon.Place these ingredients into a pot, bring to a boil, turn off the heat and steep. I would make several bottles of this and store it in the fridge.I heat it and add a bit of honey and almond milk.But I made a batch that was a bit different. The note was very flavorful and floral and I couldn't determine what was different. I had been buying cinnamon sticks, but I once went and couldn't find them, I found bulk cinnamon in the produce section of the store. This looked very different from what I knew as cinnamon. It was lighter in color and didn't smell as strong. But it was this type of cinnamon that gave the tea the flavor and aroma I had been chasing.I learned that what I originally had was cassia and the newer type was ceylon. At this point I needed to find more of this ceylon, but the store didn't have it anymore.So I bought this and when I opened the package, there it was, very similar to what was in the bulk area of my grocery store.I made the tea and there it was: The aroma and floral note that I had been missing.If you, like me, thought that you were getting the best cinnamon, but were using the dark sticks that most grocery stores carry, you need to try this ceylon cinnamon. You will notice the difference.Now I have a good source to get it.

I purchased these cinnamon sticks based on the rave reviews. Well this time I did not luck out. The sticks have absolutely no cinnamon aroma. I put a whole stick in a cup of coffee and left it there to add flavor. Nope. Nada. No flavor at all. I broke one in half. Ah a little cinnamon wafted up. I put that half in a different cup of coffee. Again nothing. Now I see this item is unavailable. They must have shippede the last of the batch that had been sitting in their basement for years. I Do Not recommend this product. I am a cinnon aficionado and this was a rather expensive disappointment for me. Too bad a could not rate it zero or minus.

I ordered this brand for the first time and opened the package the moment I received it (it was early afternoon) and took a whiff; the aroma was so sweet and mild and inviting that I decided to make a pot of green tea along with one cinnamon stick right away. The tea? It was heavenly, just perfect. It makes green tea more enticing to me (in spite of all the health benefits of green tea, I don’t like the smell and taste of it by itself), in fact, now with this cinnamon stick I’m looking forward to my afternoon cup of green tea.

Received cinnamon today. Not real happy with it. I hardly ever write a review but felt a need to do so. The review that stated a strong chemical smell upon opening the bag was correct. So I tried some in tea. Used a whole stick. Very faint taste and smell of cinnamon. I am truly disappointed in the quality. Will not order again.
