I’ll preface this with saying i’ve had a few black & blum producers before and they’ve all been worth the money. Well designed and thought out, and look pretty cool too.I was sceptical for years about these bottles as I thought the filter element was a gimmick. Then recently I was looking for a new bottle after my partner kindly nicked my insulated Chillys bottle. I’m not too fussed about having anything insulated as I tend to chug through my drinks before they have a chance to even get to room temperature. I also find insulated bottles to be a bit too heavy when i’m trying to pack a bag for daily adventures so I’m totally fine with a plastic bottle.I finally took the chance and bought one of these bottles a couple months ago and i’m really glad I did. The filter element combined with the large capacity and awesome design have made this a winner. It’s so comfortable to hold even when it’s full up. I found the initial set up of the filter very easy, which you wouldn’t expect from all the negative reviews.My charcoal was definitely a bit too large for the bottle and doesn’t fit neatly into the little notch in the side of the bottle but so what? It doesn’t come loose at all. And people need to bear in mind it’s a natural product and you can’t expect any two pieces of wood to be identical. People also complain that the charcoal scratches their bottle on the inside when they try to get it into the notch. It’s a plastic bottle, and it’s a piece of charcoal. It’s gonna scratch. It doesn’t affect the function of the bottle.I was worried the lid and it’s locking mechanism wouldn’t be robust enough to stop it from opening in my bag but i’ve not had a single spill, so if you initially feel anxious about this then don’t worry! As long as you actually close it properly you’ll be fine.Now the most important part, does the filter work? Hell yeah it does. I live in a pretty hard water area and the tap water can have a pretty gross taste time to time, but not too offensive. It still tastes much better after a few hours filtering though.The real wow moment for me was when I filled up the bottle at my partners flat in London. The water there tastes like it just dribbled out a rusty lead pipe with a side of chlorine. However after even just a couple hours filtering in the bottle, it tastes as good as the fancy overpriced mineral water you can get in shops these days. It tastes so pure and it legit makes drinking water a lot more worthwhile.I find myself drinking water a lot more often now I have this bottle. It is a lot more expensive compared to other products on the market. It doesn’t insulate and keep the drink cold for ages. It’s made of plastic. But you know what? It’s really damn good at what it does. Take care of it and it’ll be a good investment. Ignore the negative reviews and get yourself some Japanese inspired goodness.

Schnelle Lieferung und Top Qualität. Endlich keine Wasserflaschen mehr schleppen. Ich habe 2 Stück davon bestellt und befülle beide im Wechsel über den Tag bzw über Nacht liegen beide gefüllt im Kühlschrank. Am nächsten Tag ist ein deutlich weicherer Geschmack des Wassers spürbar.Ich hatte keine Probleme die Kohle in Position zu bringen. Ein leichtes Drücken der Flasche reicht vollkommen aus.Zugegeben der Gummi am Kork riecht anfangs wirklich etwas unangenehm, aber nicht so schlimm, dass es mich beim trinken beeinträchtigt.Als Bonus ist das Design wirklich einzigartig.

Un ottimo prodotto. Eviti di comprare acqua in plastica, ma filtri quella del rubinetto, ideale per chi ha lo stomaco più delicato. Giusta dimensione, comoda nello zaino e soprattutto più di mezzo litro che, personalmente, è un po' poco per le ore in ufficio.
