This is the second replacement I try after my original battery gave up the ghost very suddenly after 3500 hrs of mowing. I chose another supplier first because of their faster delivery. Alas - and that perhaps as a warning for people who are thinking of getting too cute - their battery prompted the mower to complain about "Battery temp outside range" which stopped the mower dead. That is, the Sileno expects back a signal from the battery (beyond just the power).I have no idea whether this battery really features a temp sensor but I also don't consider this critical, given the tiny charge current used by Gardena. However, whatever signal it feeds back to the mower allows it to operate. And that is good enough for me.In theory, that larger battery should be less stressed than the original and hence perhaps live longer. Only time will tell.
