Gekauft habe ich das Gerät über den Händler SportBasar. Die Lieferung war entgegen der angegebenen Lieferzeit bereits am 3.ten Tag bei mir zuhause angekommen.Da ich öfter PKWs poliere habe ich mich nach einem Lackschichtmessgerät umgesehen und habe mich für dieses entschieden da erstens der Preis gut war und zweitens die Sonde durch das Kabel auch an schwierigeren Stellen eingesetzt werden kann.Bei mir war auch eine deutsche Bedienungsanleitung mit im Karton.Zur Kalibrierung liegt jeweils ein Eisenplättchen (FE) und ein Aluminiumplättchen (AL) mit einer Beschichtung von 200 µm bei.Betrieben wird das Messgerät mit zwei Mignonbatterien (AA) die im Lieferumfang enthalten sind.Ich bin mit dem Kauf zu frieden. Es arbeitet zuverlässig und tut was es soll!Von mir eine Kaufempfehlung!

Having previously used a cheaper paint depth gauge, a PRodig-Tech GL Mini (I know what a mouthful) for l around £40 I was looking for a higher quality device that was easier to use and could make multiple readings quickly. This paint meter from Blue Technology (BT) is a fantastic measuring tool, it comes with two calibration discs, one for FE (ferrous) metals and another for AL (Aluminium). Once calibrated correctly (easy to do, just follow he instructions included), you'll be able to make reliable readings.One thing to remember is the positioning of the probe, to obtain a correct reading it is necessary to ensure the base of the probe is completely flat against the panel you’re measuring, otherwise it will tend to give a much higher reading than it should. I found the BT meter gave very consistent results time after time, there was only ever a small depth difference of 10um (within the tolerance given by the manufacturer), all-in-all this is a great meter that I have used to ensure safe polishing, i.e. the depth of paint is deep enough to allow paint enhancement/correction, with wonderful results. Why buy anything more expensive..?
