I have a greenhouse and my plants normally grow well, but I never know how much to water them. I usually water them too much and err on the side of caution, but this little meter is going to help me ensure that my plants don't end up waterlogged.It is very simple to use - no batteries are needed.It has three meters - light, water and Ph of the soil. I am mostly going to be using the moisture meter. Quite simply, you just stick the two prongs into the soil at least 4 inches deep and the meter registers the moisture content going from 1 (very dry) to 10 (very wet). You need to be somewhere in the middle to know that your plants have the right amount of water, and if it is less than 4, you need to water.The ph tester is handy if you need to know your garden's soil make up - whether it is acidic or alkaline, and the light meter will tell you if there is enough warmth in the soil for your plants to grow well or whether you need to consider a grow light to top this up.All in all, a good basic meter which at the current price of £9.99 is reasonable. If you want absolute accuracy you will need to go for a more up market digital meter, but for most people, this little meter is sufficient.

Questo misuratore rileva umidità del terreno, il suo ph e indica se la posizione della pianta è abbastanza soleggiata. La cosa fantastica è che è completamente analogico e udite udite, funzione alla grande e immediatamente fornendo dati che per quanto nel mio piccolo ho potuto verificare risultano abbastanza precisi. Prima di questo ho avuto un sistema che avrebbe dovuto fornire qualche dato in più, completamente elettronico letture via wifi, tarabile e costoso ma che oltre a prevedere una curva di apprendimento impegnativa alla fine ho scoperto funzionare male! Insomma questo misuratore semplice e "ignorante" fa benissimo il suo lavoro meglio a mio avviso di altri prodotti più pretenziosi. Lo punti nel terreno dop un pó hai un quadro chiaro della situazione. Ottimo, zero sbatti, sicuramente lo consiglio per la semplicità d'uso e il risultato veloce.

Tip.. don't leave it in the soil as the damp causes the rods to deteriorate. If that happens just rub the rods down with sand paper and it'll work again but it's advisable to store it somewhere dry in between useThese are brilliant. It's the second one I have had because they're so good at letting me know when it's time to water various plants. For the price they really are a bargain considering the help they are for plant health.
