Depuis son installation, je remarque une meilleure performance du moteur, avec un démarrage plus fluide et une consommation légèrement réduite. De plus, la qualité Bosch est toujours au rendez-vous.

No matter what your technical ability, getting the oil changed on your car is worth having done by a garage because they can dispose of the old stuff and save you the hassle. However, other service items like the air filter, cabin filter and so forth can be done at home with affordable tools and no risk on most cars, and the Focus 1.6 diesel is particularly easy to work on.You need a 7mm hex socket and a small extension - you can use a ratchet, but a screwdriver handle will do, these don't need a lot of force to remove.Undo the four screws on the air cleaner housing (the large plastic box behind the nearside (RHD) headlight) - it's on your right when facing the engine bay and bonnect open. Three are easy to see, the other is slightly obscured by wiring. Lift the edge of the air filter box up near the flexible plastic hose - you can pull gently on the screw to detach it but it's easier to push the plastic. Ease it off all around then lift straight up, and you'll see the dirty cylinder-shaped filter. The back of the filter is circular and visible with the cover in place, so you can easily mark when the filter was changed. Lift the old filter up out of the retaining groove, and away from the mounting ring on the air inlet. To install the clean filter, align it so you can see the writing if you want the part number/date to be visible, put the inlet side onto the collar/mounting ring, push gently and then guide the plastic end cap into the retaining groove on the outside edge.Put the cover back on, and do up the four retaining screws. They don't need much force and will stop turning when the cover is fixed, you don't need to overtighten them.Make sure the air box is secure (it has a mount on the inside of the wing that can move, so just push down gently on the upper right corner and make sure it doesn't wobble amount much) and you're done.Takes longer to write than to do. Just remember, 7mm socket, extension to reach the top right screw, and you'll be fine.
