Degelijk apparaat en met een stevige koffer

Gekocht om met hotwerk wat vaker mooie randen en afwerking te kunnen maken. En dat doet ie zeker (na wat uitzoekwerk over hoe het best te gebruiken). Al met al tevreden over. Wel gelijk extra setje frees-bitjes erbij aangeschaft.

Hoewel ik het idee had dat die machine er met mij vandoor ging, ziet het eindresultaat er prima uit. Ik heb scharnieren van 2 deuren in het kozijn en de deur gefreesd. Nog nooit eerder een deur gehangen, maar was niet moeilijk!

Na wat gedoe prima ding

Wederom ontbreken een aantal onderdelen. Amazon blijft zijn klanten teleurstellen.

I received the box a few days ago and I wanted to wait till I'd tested it out before I write a review about the machine.Packaging: the tool was well packed in a hard green case and the whole case was sealed with Bosch original stickers on all 3 sides indicating that this was brand new and not opened and repacked.This whole box was repacked in a Amazon cardboard box with sufficient bubble wrap to prevent damage to the inside. So good packing.Contents:Once I opened the box I check for the contents and all items were present as indicated on the box. There was also one 8 mm straight router bit(Bosch branded). There were 3 collets, parallel guide, wrench, depth gauge rod, manual and extended warranty process which requires registering on the site.Use of machine:Pros:1.the instructions are ok but there are videos of how to use a router on YouTube if you need help.2. The speed settings chart are clear and useful to ensure proper speed for the size of the bit used.3. The dust extraction port is good with the shop vac attached most of the dust is sucked in.4. The parallel fence is strong and solid, it helps move the machine parallel to the piece5. Because of 3 collets, you get the bits easily. Although I wish I could fit 3/4 inch bits for heavy cuts.6. Storage space in the case is great. It even has six slots for storing 6 router bits in the case.7. Locking action is good and solid so you can focus on keeping the cut straight.8. Depth of cut lock is a good idea to increment the cuts in stages.Cons (mostly inconveniences):1. changing bits is tough and without proper gloves you can easily cut your hands on the sharp edges of cutting bits. Note that this is mentioned on the manual as well.2. Plunging action is pretty tight but this may be because it's new and might get easier over time. For now I don't see how I can cut while plunging as it requires a lot of strength to push down during operation of the machine. Better to plunge to desired depth and lock it down before starting the machine.3. It's hard to see the cut line just before starting the cut, the plastic sight lines are not the best.4. There is a light that turns on when the machine is started, this is helpful to see the cut line but the light turns on with a small delay of about a second so you have to wait till the light turns on or you need have a strong light in the shop.5. It's very noisy, i think it sounds as loud as an airplane at close range.6. Depth of cut is limited to about 3/4inch if you follow the instructions that the bit should be inserted at least 20mm in the collet.Final thoughts:I hope to mount this on a table soon and hope It works well. All I all I think that this is a great router for a great price for a DIYer. If you are thinking of buying it, go ahead this is better than the POF1200 as the speed is constant and the motor is better.If you like my review, please give a thumbs up as it helps me.
