I imagine this will work reasonably for drilling into wood but shakes loose if used with a masonry bit and hammer action. In any case, the grub screw that holds the depth stop has a tendency to slide into the groove of the drill bit so that the stop is twisted out of a right angle with the axis of the bit. A pretty poor design in my view
