This kit has everything you need to strike a straight and level line both horizontally and vertically. All packaging, instructions, laser storage pouch and tripod have used recycled materials in their construction – let’s hope others follow suit.Tripod:Initially, I was a little dismissive of the tripod as I have good quality ones for photography, but to be fair it is good, light-weight and it does the job it is designed for. It comes with a quick open/adjust tripod with a handle to allow for smaller height adjustments on a centred pole. The tripod has a fast remove shoe which screws into the base of the level. Then it simply clips in and out.The opening and closing of the legs is by way of quick release thumb levers that drop the leg, then close to lock it. When all three are out, the centre column has a handle to wind it up and down where you can get decent precision to obtain a specific height, then a thumb screw to hold it in place. The vertical is a simple rotation of the head and thumb screw to hold it in place. The base plate has both pitch and roll adjustments should you need angular lines. There are 2 spirit levels built in the get the base levelled. You don’t need to use the tripod, the level will work just fine on flat surfaces (with quick release shoe removed).Laser level:The laser is self-levelling, so you don’t need pinpoint precision to get the tripod level. It will initially bob around but settle when left alone. You will need to make gentle movements to get your line into place if you are working to a set point and make small adjustments when the line stops wobbling. This can be tricky if you are working on a floor with tremors or some heavy footfall stomping past, so patience is key. If the level is not within self-levelling tolerances it will flash to let you know. The flashing can be turned off if you are working on angles. The laser will cast horizontal (360 degrees), vertical (including floor and ceiling in front of laser) or both by cycling through the mode button. The laser is bright green and easily stands out even in good daylight. No laser safety glasses are provided, which may be advisable if you are going to be using this for prolonged periods of time.Bottom line:It is a good quality laser level that makes it easy to strike levels. I can’t comment on value for money as this is a pre-launch product, but I would expect something in the £150-£180 price range. My previous laser level (resting in pieces after a fall) cost me £150 without a tripod and wasn’t as good as this one.

La visse du trépied pour fixer le laser tourne sur elle même à la sortie de l emballage, impossible de fixer le laser dessus. Je vais tester le SAV amazon pour essayer de me faire changer
