I own 5 Bosch Professional tools, two combi drills, one for drilling and the other for screwing in screws to save me time switching from drill bit to screwdriver bit, an angle grinder, and the LED floodlight. I used to own a corded Jigsaw but most of my sawing in just straight cuts so I replaced it with this circular saw. I put off buying this tool for a while because I kept thinking to myself “Am I really going to use it that much? I could just use my hand saw.”. Well, I’m really glad I bought it, I’ve used it far more that I thought I would. It comes with a blade which is a is not exactly fine cut but just a little sanding and the edges are fine. The power is fine, not overly powerful but enough to get the job done. Occasionally the blade will stop, but this is usually due to me pushing a little too hard. It also has a sliding guide that works for most jobs but if you try to cut off half a cm of the bottom of a door the guild won’t adjust to such a small size and you’ll have to judge it by skill. It does drain the batteries quicker than my other Bosch tools so I use my 5ah batteries. If you do a lot of DIY I suggest you buy this tool, it will save you a lot of time.Believe it or not, I’m not a huge fan of Bosch. I’ve had a Bosch cordless vacuum cleaner which was rubbish, and we just threw out our less than 2 years old dishwasher because it never washed properly and then it broke down. However, all the Bosch cordless tools I’ve bought have given me many years of use without problem.Last year I decided to try a DeWalt combi drill. It lasted less than 3 months before it broke, it had 2 speeds and got stuck in one of them, never again. That is when I replaced it with my first Bosch Professional Drill. I bought green Bosch cordless drill years ago which lasted 7 years and was used a lot, if fact, it is still going but the batteries are slowly dying.
