I have been using other brands circular saws corded and cordless for my DIY projects throughout the years. This professional line from Bosch is very impressive bit of kit I must say. However, it is not perfect.I find very annoying that I have to undo two little nuts one on the front and one at the back to change the angle. Sure you don't do that kind of thing very often as a pro but as a DIYer I have only one circular saw so if suddenly I need to cut it at some angle I have to go on both sides to undo these nuts. Even though there are two separate nuts to tighten the base at the preferred angle it still is not too stiff. It still has a little play.Overall the quality is fantastic and it feels professional. It is very nice to hold and very easy to cut. With three different speeds you can choose between accuracy and speed but I don't know if this has some real life applications as in most cases I need the full speed anyway. Buttons works perfectly well and are very well marked. The angle and depth of the cut rullers are very clear and easy to navigate to the preferred value.I love the one button depth adjustment that makes life so much easier. You just press the manual button on the top of the handle and the the base gets unlocked so you can adjust the cut depth as you wish without any unscrewing and screwing.I also like the clear cutting edge guide that shows you really well where the cut will occur. The stop function is good too but not so necessary for myself.What is good too is dust collection. In most cases it catches up the saw dust very well. And I have tried it withy vacuum and it works magic and I was able to cut almost dust free inside my house.Overall, very great, powerful and with everything you need to do not only DIY projects but some serious professional cuts. Shame the price doesn't include battery and charger (roughly you need another £70). However, it is definitely worth the just below £300 price tag but I think it will be more suitable for professionals rather than DIYers.

The cordless freedom is incredible, no more wrestling with cables, just pick it up and go. Power feels important, it cuts through timber with ease, and I've even tackled some thicker planks without any issues. The included parallel guide is great for making straight, accurate cuts, something I've always struggled with before. Even as someone who's not a professional, the saw feels comfortable and intuitive to use. Battery life is great too. It's made my projects so much quicker and easier.

Having recently moved over to the Bosch professional range from the Ryobi range I started with I have recently got a few of the newer Bosch professional tools and I have to say I am extremely impressed with everything I have tried so far. I already have a couple of handheld circular saws including a ryobi battery version. Last weekend I had a couple of large boards to saw and I started with the Ryobi first. It failed as the board got tighter further into the cut the Ryobi started to slow and eventually stopped. I =t did restart but struggled all the way through the first board. I had 3 other boards all the same size to cut to I decided to give the Bosch a go. Well what a difference. it cut through the boards like a hot knife through butter the difference between the two saws was incredible. this saw comes with a Parallel Guide which is good quality and very sturdy keeping you online for an accurate cut. the saw has various safety features including kickback control and stop control. It as a built in dust extractor system and is fully compatible with the Bosch cross cutting and guide rail system. the powerful motor make light work of any job you put in front of it. I am truly becoming a Bosch professional fan boy. I think the craftsmanship and quality of the tools is just superb. I highly highly recommend this saw..

Part of going for something with the Bosch name is the reassurance that it’s gonna be high-quality and a good calibre piece of kit, and there are no exceptions to this with this saw. Although part of the professional series, this is excellent for an amateur DIY enthusiast, especially if you have lots of wood based projects.It comes with a track which is a nice little addition but also has lots of small features that help make this the right choice for me. There’s an auto stop function which means the sawblade will be made safer once it detects that it has passed through the wood. There’s also options to adjust the power mode to make the battery life extended longer, which is great if you continuously swapping the battery between the saw and your drill like I am!It’s heavy but easy enough to move from counter to counter, in room to room. The cuts look sharp and clean as you would expect with a new blade, and it makes light work of even some pretty dense wood.
