Having received this cordless angle grinder, I can say without hesitation that the machine performs brilliantly and has several features not found on other similar angle grinders.The first thing I liked was the good weight balance when fitted with a typical 4 Ahr battery. The grinder sits well in the hand and offers a second detachable handle. The spark guard has a separate lever that allows me to reposition it around the spindle cutting area to get the best angles.The cutting disc has a push lock, of course to make disc removal easier and it has a good positive on off switch. Nothing fancy here. No disc brake or slow soft start, just good basic engineering and robust materials.There are some things that appeared a bit odd to me:1- Power blackout restart protection: THis is not applicable to a battery tool such as this2- soft start: Not sure about this, the circular saws have a much more noticeable soft start, and a brake3- The disc release lever has no hanging hole in it. That's a first for me.These are minor items that don't detract from a well built machine that has adequate power for most jobs that require minor finishing and cutting. AS usual with many power tools, one needs a compatible Bosch battery, and preferably a high powered one. These give the best run time and power curves.

This Bosch angle grinder arrived in a cardboard box. Inside the box is the angle grinder and user instructions. Unfortunately there is no battery, charger, or discs included. I understand the Bosch batteries can be used with a range of tools, but it would have been good to at least have one disc included to try out. The grinder is cordless meaning you can easily take it anywhere without being limited to moving a power cable. The weight excluding any battery is 1.6kg so lightweight, and it takes a 125mm grinding disc. It has a no-load speed of 11,000rpm and the equivalent of 800W of power so is certainly powerful enough for most light jobs except really heavy duty and industrial type jobs. It has a number of safety features when in use such as restart protection. Handling the grinder is comfortable thanks to its ergonomic design, so you can use it for long periods of time. The grinder feels very good quality and should last a long time with lots of use. If you are in need of a cordless angle grinder, I would recommend this one, but just don’t forget you need a separate battery, charger, and disc.

This cordless angle grinder has been super handy for quick jobs around the house and in the garage - cut through some rusty bolts and even trimmed metal piping with no problem. The size is just right, not too bulky, and the battery lasts longer than I expected. Swapping discs is quick, and it feels solid in hand without being too heavy.

This cordless grinder packs a punch with its 800W equivalent power, making light work of a range of jobs that you might throw at it. I ordered it to help with cutting tiles as we're in the middle of updating our kitchen, and there's no messing about, it's quick on the job and it performs really well (at least for what I've used it for).The runtime’s pretty decent too, so you’re not constantly stopping to recharge, and the build quality is excellent - sturdy and solid, as you'd expect from a brand like Bosch. It sits nicely in your hand and I found the one-handed operation really useful. In terms of how it worked for me, I was very impressed. I'm not a tool expert though, admittedly, so I can't say how it may compare directly with another model, but I have no complaints about what this did for helping me update my kitchen.The only gripe I do have is that it doesn’t come with discs or batteries straight out of the box, so if you don’t already have those to hand from other compatible Bosch tools, you have to get those separately. I think if you know all about tools like this and you're more of a professional, then you'll know that these things generally don't come with those parts and you'll be prepared to use your own. However, I also know there will be some casual buyers out there that would assume that you’d have everything you need to start the job included in the box, especially because I was one of those people!I really do think it needs to be more explicitly stated in the listing that you need more than what you're buying here if you don't have other accessories of your own (I now see the battery image is greyed out and yes it doesn't say it has discs, but it really needs to be more clear). Thankfully, I have a friend who does this kind of work for a living and he brought round the missing pieces for me to borrow in order to let me get this thing going so I could both review it and finish my kitchen tiling!When all’s said and done, if you explore carefully what you’re buying and you understand what's not included so you can prepare ahead, then you're likely to find that this is a top quality tool for a variety of purposes at a decent price.
