Die Verpackung ist in der Tat etwas "übertrieben", aber der Bohrer tut genau das was er tun soll.Szenario: 10mm dickes Feinsteigzeug an der Wand, es sollen 4x 10mm Löcher für den Waschtisch rein.Zuerst habe ich es (jung, dynamisch, erfolglos ;-) ) mit einem normalen, aber guten (auch von Bosch) Hartmetalbohrer versucht, ging bei anderen Fliesen ja auch immer super. Dieses mal habe ich eine Stunde geackert um gerade mal die Oberfläche anzukratzen.Also diesen Diamantbohrer bestellt, in der 10mm Variante.Das Öl im Bohrer ist übrigens (bestätigt von Bosch) ganz normales Olivenöl.Pro Loch habe ich nun zwar immer noch 45 Minuten gebraucht, aber es hat gut funktioniert, vier saubere 10mm Löcher in dem (anscheinend ultra hart gebrannten) Feinsteinzeug.Nach jedem Loch habe ich das Öl im Bohrer getausch.Ich denke mal, evtl ein solches Loch schafft der Bohrer noch, aber dann ist auch wirklich Schluss.Für das was der Bohrer geleistet hat, finde ich das aber völlig in Ordnung.Wichtig ist: niedrige Drehzahl (max 1500 Umdrehung), öfters mal kurze Pause damit der Bohrer nicht überhitzt, ggf Loch in der Spitze frei machen damit das Öl auch dahin kommt, wo es hin soll und am besten nach jedem Loch neues Öl (billiges Olivenöl vom Discounter reicht)

Tiled a new bathroom with porcelain tiles. Nothing I have would even look at them, previously only ever tiled with ceramic tiles and all my gear would go through them no bother. Purchased the Bosch Diamond bit and it goes through the tiles easily. Not super fast, but with a gentle pressure seems to drill pretty good. Patience is the key here.Used the Bosch CYL-9 pointed bit to start the hole first.I dipped the bit in water every so often to cool. Though it is actually filled with oil and this also is supposed to cool the bit.Now drilled 10 holes (6mm) and plenty life left on the bit. Though I would say another 10 and I might well be purchasing another bit.Expensive compared to ceramics I know, but the only bit that seems to work as porcelain tiles are incredibly hard!
