I recently purchased a Bosch PHO 1 500 Watt Planer and having purchased the item, realised that there were accessories missing. I pay great attention to detail and having a touch of OCD, this item is essential if you are going to use the planer and require the planer to run on a parallel guide.Quite fiddly to attach to the planer, but once you have done so, very easy to use. Basically this tool guides the planer along the surface parallel to the edge. You therefore are able to plane the wood and at the same time, given an even finish. I don't think this is something I would use in all instances, but let's say if you are planing a door, this will give you a nice even finish. Cost is not prohibitive so a nice piece of kit.Highly recommended.
