I've found the Boseaon BH-W01 EMF meter to be really easy to use and provides a useful way to measure three different types of EMF, specifically Electric Field, Magnetic Field and Radio Frequency radiation. The device itself is well made, with a simple interface of three buttons for turning it on/off and changing the various modes and settings. The full colour LCD display has somewhat limited viewing angles but it's bright and clear, and the on-screen interface looks clean and professional making it quick and easy to understand the data being displayed. There are four different display types, allowing you to either show all three radiation readings at once, or each individually with additional data as well as a history graph.The included user manual is well-written and provides some useful guidance for setting up and using the device, as well as some stats on the meter's measuring range and sensitivity. I can't really assess how reliable this meter is compared to a professional device, but for an amateur the readings seem to provide a reliable indication.In the box, as well as the meter itself is a grey pouch for storage and a USB-A to USB-C cable used for charging only; there is no PC connectivity here for downloading reading data from the meter, or for firmware updates etc.It's been interesting to carry the meter around my home and see which kind(s) of radiation are more heavily emitted from certain devices. I'm not overly concerned about excess exposure or side effects, but rather just using it to learn more about these types of radiation and their sources.

What you see in their photos is what you get. I have been wandering around the house with this, yesterday this thing went mad when I put it close to my pc, today, nothing. I put it up against my hubby's spine, it gave a high number (is he radioactive!!). It goes nuts when held near plugs that are switched on, it was interesting to see which appliances give off high readings (when the gadget is right up close to them), there are gazillions of these to choose from ranging from £20 up to hundreds of quid. I wonder which ones are the most accurate…

This looks and feels like a quality device. It has a reassuring robustness and solidity to it which means it should withstand a bit of wear and tear. It is designed to be used as a hand held device and is similar in size to a GPS tracker of the type used by hikers.It has a good sized screen in portrait orientation. The information that is presented is easily read even in bright sunlight. There are three control buttons just below the screen. In the middle sits the power button and on either side you have buttons to control the units being used in the display and the mode in which the data is presented. They all work positively and could be operated whilst wearing gloves.The reason I was interested in this meter was because I wanted to find out what data I coud gather about a nearby cell phone mast and the impact it may have on people, such as myself, who live nearby. I was very heartened to find out that the levels of RF electromagnetic radiation in my house have turned out to be "Low".So, all in all it is a good quality; easy to use device that can help you understand what levels of various types of radition you may be being exposed to. At a little under £30 it is well priced for what it provides both functionally and emotionally. In my case that was peace of mind. I am very happy to recommend it and who knows, I may even do a bit of ghost hunting.

I'm not a professional. I got this so that I could see just how much my devices were emitting. Its quite eye opening when you see just how much is pouring out into your home. Works great and is incredibly responsive. You can even set it to a live graph mode for seeing a bit more detail. Would recommend.
