We love this cheese grater and have bought one for pretty much every household in the family.We call it 'the spaghetti on the spaghetti' thing because it creates the perfect amount of grated cheese in beautiful, spaghetti-like strings. These are also thinner and longer than most regular cheese graters produce. Because the cheese becomes so thin, it melts quickly on top of hot food.I've never used it in the kitchen - we use it at the table with a block of cheese from the fridge, so everyone gets to put precisely how much cheese they want on their pasta without any left over grated cheese drying out or sweating in a bowl.Clearly you would want to be sure that everyone at the table has clean hands and that the cheese is protected from everyone touching it (e.g. by the original plastic packaging or protective wax).

Feels well balanced in the hand like a quality tool should. Easy to clean. Simply the best grater I ever used.
