These are pretty good, but I don't like them as much as I thought I would when ordering.** Negatives **They're quite short. I knew they would be a 2 cm shorter than the Korean chopsticks I've been using recently, but I didn't expect that difference to be noticeable. However, the combination of the shorter length and the position of the joints makes it challenging to hold them quite right: there is either too little length because I'm trying to avoid the joint, or the joint feels odd in my hand an affects the grip. They have "titanium texture". This is obvious and it's on me really for not seeing it coming: titanium cutlery has a weird rough finish (like wood) that I do not find pleasant in the mouth. I normally use polished stainless steel chopsticks and the feel of those is much more pleasant. If you don't mind the sensation of titanium in your mouth then obviously this isn't an issue. The case is ridiculous and several times too large to hold the chopsticks: it's clearly made for a completely different product. And yet you will need something to hold these in, to keep them clean when not in use. As portable "pocket" eating utensils, I think it's essential to have a cover for the chopsticks and the one supplied is useless. They rattle when folded, both the sections against each other, and the two chopsticks scraping against each other. Again, this should be fairly obvious - but I found it annoying to have them rattling in my pocket/bag. This is something that could have been fixed with a proper case: I made my own and it has made it better.** Positives **Under £12 is a good price for titanium cutlery and the chopsticks themselves are decently made. In terms of value for money I have no complaints. They are, as you would expect, very lightweight. When folder, they are a lot smaller than you might imagine - particularly thinner. If a proper case were provided they could pack away to nothing. They disassemble easily for cleaning.Contrary to other reviewers, I found no problem at all with them locking in place. The segments are held in place by friction, but a simple flick of the wrist to extend them (so satisfying!) is enough to secure them well enough to eat, and manually tugging the end gently secures them very firmly. I am surprised at the comments saying they are loose - this is not at all my experience.** Conclusion **Several times a week I take a picnic lunch out and I always use chopsticks. I thought these would be a fun novelty and they are: but they're not as nice to use as a pair of normal chopsticks. Non-telescopic metal chopsticks are already small and light and I think a pair of those in a (readily available) case is a better option than these. Ultimately, when would you be carrying food, but have no place other than a small pocket to fit your chopsticks? That said, if you are desperate for a pair of chopsticks that can be carried in a pocket just in case you need them, then these would be a great buy IF they had a usable case. However, as things stand they'll get dirty and rattle constantly carried loose. I ended up making a small case for mine but I'm not overly happy with it: I would prefer to have paid more and had them come with a case that fits them.If I lost these, I wouldn't replace them. However, they're a nice novelty and I will continue to use them from time to time. For the price, I don't feel I can complain.

For reference, I own many pieces of titanium, including non-collapsing chopsticks. I travel very frequently and these are great to have on hand. The length is good, the quality is there, my only gripe is the functionality. You have to twist and pull very firmly in order to get the chopsticks to stay elongated and not have a segment collapse on you. I can’t think of a better way to secure the segments, threads to screw would most likely fail over time and probably drive the price up substantially. All in all, I’m happy with them and appreciate how small they pack up. I do wish for a different case, a simple hard shell case would be preferred, the bag is sloppy and oversized.
