Slices cheese like a champ! Even thought the 25 year old brabantia slicer we have still works great, this one looks like it will get used just as much.

The best cheese slicer I have ever had. Marvellous. Strongly made. Good and sharp. Because you are drawing your arm backwards, you are using your bicep muscle, not your forearm, to use the slicer. This means your arm doesn’t ache and is a much more ergonomic way. The slicer is very sharp and makes beautiful, thin, uniform slices. It’s safe too. Much safer than a knife. I really am so pleased with this and I’ve even got my Mum one for Xmas too!

It does not slice cheese: it shaves it into little flakes. I've used many cheese slicers over the years and can say with some confidence that this is by far the worst. I'm not merely criticising the individual cheese slicer that was delivered - the design is incredibly bad. Why would you have tiny serrations on the blade? This makes it practically impossible to sharpen. It doesn't work and I can't see how it could ever be made to work and I can't see how any practical person making this could be honestly satisfied that it works. On top of that, it's not even the cheapest cheese slicer.
