Will do the job of storing paperwork. However if you accidently let go of the button when putting in your own three digit code then the lock doesn't work. Have thought about sending back but the lock mechanism is not a priority for me. But beware if locking is your priority as for waterproof and fireproof I hope I never find out if it works!!!.
