I've returned to home brew after a gap of tens of years and had to re-equip. I used this syphon to move my fermented beer into a pressure barrel. Despite the tubing being curly after being packaged coiled up for shipping, it was straightforward to apply a little pressure with my finger to get the filter end to descend gracefully into the beer. Priming was instant. The flow was gentle but in no way frustrating. I felt it helped avoid disturbing the beer too much. No leaks. It does its job well.

The diaphragm in my toilet's cistern failed and needed replacing. As it was one of those annoying ones that was built into the wall it was near impossible to drain it properly to allow for the replacement of the flush mechanism as a couple of inches of water remained at the bottom of the cistern. A syphon was required and this did the job well. The only mod I had to make was zip-tying a pebble to the filter end to stop it floating. Did the job and saved me big cash monies as I didn't need to call a plumber.

wasn't sure what to expect but this was a pleasure to use. It is well made, functions well. Needed it to rack some homemade and homegrown wine. Perfect too for the job!I simply can't complain.

A great addition to my Homebrew equipment. I have used other sypons, but this is so easy and brilliant when bottling. The filter floats on top of your brew and woks a treat. Just give the bulb a couple of squeezes to get the brew flowing and raise the outlet when you want the flow to stop. There is no more squeezing required to get the beer flowing again, just lower the outlet again and off it goes. Absolutely brilliant.
