I bought this for our bedroom as a Christmas present for my wife. I actually chose this particular one because of its dimensions (it needed to fit in a specific place), but I'm so happy with it overall that I don't think I could have chosen a better one anyway. The concrete-like ceramic looks great and is much nicer than the metal of the other one we have.It's small and simple and works really well. I added some ceramic wool, also bought from Amazon, to absorb the fuel and help prevent and spills if it was to get knocked accidentally. That's actually not very likely anyway though because of where it's positioned and the fact it's quite heavy and sturdy.I wanted it mainly for effect but the fact it gives off a good bit of heat too is excellent. It really warms up the room in a few minutes after lighting it. Don't get me wrong, it's not the equivalent of a proper fireplace or an electric heater but as a bit of additional heat it's more effective than I ever would have expected.The flames are low and blue at first, taking a few minutes to build up into taller yellow flames. It's really pretty to look at, and very calming. I'd say a full load of fuel lasts for about an hour, but the time can be extended by partly covering the top with the supplied metal cover. We tend to keep it about half covered, which gives a more gentle, longer lasting flame.Obviously as it's being used in a bedroom we have to very careful. I've installed a smoke alarm and we have a fire extinguisher nearby, just in case.
