The solenoid worked fine but did not solve my problem which was that the engine on my Craftsman lawn tractor would cut out after running for awhile and then not start. I did more research and found that the problem was the battery which was over four years old and would not hold a charge. I replaced the battery and so far the problem has not reappeared. At this point I do not know if the solenoid was defective but at least I now have a new replacement. If you are experiencing a similar problem, I suggest that you check your battery and charging system before replacing the solenoid.

The solenoid was a perfect fit / exact match. It was easy to replace.The riding mower had a fuel shutoff valve. Turned that off and disconnected the electrical connection. Placed a catch pan under the solenoid and removed it with a wrench. Then I turned the fuel valve back open briefly to flush the carb. After the fuel stopped dripping I wiped down the carb. Slipped the washer supplied with the new solenoid onto the threaded end and put it onto the carb. Then I tightened it with a wrench and reconnected the electrical wire onto the new solenoid. Then I opened the fuel valve and checked for leaks. All was perfect! Then I started the mower and tested it to ensure the mower started and stoped properly. This part was perfect. Reason I replaced it was due to the mower would run on after the key was turned off. When I removed it the old one was corroded from water in the fuel and the seal end of the solenoid was rock hard. The corrosion didn't allow the seat to go all the way up.As for shipping and tracking. It was excellent! It arrived before expected and they advised exactly when it arrived. Outstanding! You won't be disappointed.

I debated getting this simply because I'm cheap, and the price seemed a little high. But after talking to a small engine tech, I decided to spend the cash. A lot of people "fix" a bad solenoid by cutting off the end of it, but once you do that, your engine can backfire when you shut it off. Even worse, if your carb develops a problem with the needle and seat, this little part prevents the leaking gas from entering the engine crankcase through the intake, possibly saving you the price of a new engine. Relatively cheap insurance in my book. Easy change out, came with everything needed...
