Cant complain about the build quality of the product, but I’m not a fan of the taste that it leaves behind in the filtered water…

Veel positieve reacties gehoord over de brita en dacht ik ga er ook één aanschaffen, je merk inderdaad het verschil van het water, proeft anders, lijkt echt schoner, dus kalk vrij. Zelfs het water wat ik als thee nu gebruikt oogt heel schoon! Ben echt verbaasd! De indicator geeft aan dat ik nog 3 weken te gaan hebt, ik ben benieuwd of je dan het verschil proeft naar 4 weken! Tot nu is het naar mij bewezen dat het doet wat wordt aangegeven! Dan bedoel ik specifiek deze brita die ik heb aangeschaft.

We have very hard water in my city and this has really made a difference. Plus having chilled water always available has helped me drink enough.The quality is great, but the lid could do with a fill point, that's why it gets 4*, but I'm very heavy handed and haven't broken it yet.

I had an older equally affordable model in Canada which worked perfectly well. The top is hard to remove more often than not. Pretty impractical design is all I have to say.

Kan is functioneel goed, tot na 10 maanden het flapje aan de voorkant er ineens af gaat en niet meer blijft zitten. Leverancier wil geen garantieclaim accepteren. Jammer, voortaan een ander merk dus.

I always wish Brita can put more efforts in the design and make it more user friendly. This one has a lid which is so difficult to open and properly close every time. On top of that, the filter seems leaking and there are small black sutff left at the bottom of the jar. Therefore not using any more because of concerns.

I kept this anyway but the lid doesn’t fit the pitcher and will not snap into place. I should have returned it.

This Brita Aluna jug comes with one Maxtra+ cartridge in the box. I bought 3 extra cartridges separately on an Amazon offer as this worked out cheaper deal.. do some research as there are different combinations and offers on the Brita water jugs & cartridge filters. The Aluna easily fits in the fridge door.Filtration works brilliantly.. you can taste difference, before & after!Filters quickly (just a few minutes).The pouring spout is hinged and gently tips open as you pour.The funnel insert fits with the 'notch' near handle. The cartridge slots into the funnel, a snug fit.N.b. Some people may mistakenly put inner funnel in wrong way around & complain lid does not fit, SO do take note of the little 'notch.Jug and funnel are dishwasher safe, but not the lid (which contains timer/bar indicator).No problem with opening/closing the lid - simple to remove to fill up from the tap. Alternatively, use another jug to top up Brita Aluna, if filling from under a tap is an issue.THINGS TO CONSIDERYou will have to top up the ALUNA throughout the day for cooking, kettle or cold drinks. I poured filtered water into separate bottle for cold drinks, and use Brita Aluna jug for the kettle.One month for each Maxtra+ cartridge: indicator 'bars go down over time, it is not measuring volume of filtered water. If you use Aluna jug multiple times a day, then replace one month. If you top up less frequently the filter would last longer.The Aluna is ot suitable for large family, as really only holds a litre+ at a time.Instruction booklet is a massive folded up sheet in multiple languages, instructions are mostly visual.No clear information explaining what is filtered, but i am hopeful there is more info online.LASTLYNote: For any one who still ASKS the Q, will it filter hot water??NO, no, no.. you filter your tap water BEFORE heating for hot drinks, cooking, etc.
