I have had a burton backpack that lasted 12 years (no exaggeration), so I wanted something similar as a replacement. This bag looks good and have enough space for daily commute. The materials feel durable, time will tell. I tried to fit a 17.3 inch laptop and I would say the bag isn’t large enough. It can close with this big of a laptop but this creates stress on the seams and I’m sure it would eventually break. 16 inch laptop would not be an issue at all.The straps on the back can be removed easily if preferred, so this is nice. The bottle holders are made of an elastic fabric and feel sturdy. The bottom of the backpack looks like it will sustain weight quite well and I wouldn’t be worried to let it on the ground.Overall, good quality product. If it lasts as long as my previous backpack, the price tag could be justified.

Had this a few days now. I walk about 4 1/2 miles each way to work with laptop and lunch. My old bag did me great and was probably a better laptop bag, but it wasn’t great for hiking. This one fits what I need and is pretty comfortable. Shoulders feel good so far.
