Forget the rest and buy the best! I don't trust any other brands so I go with this baby, B+W. All my Canon L lenses are protected by this company. Never failed so far. Just be careful not to buy this brand on 3rd party sites like Ebay where there are a ton of fakes from China. This particular one comes from Amazon directly (not a 3rd party with an unknown name), so it's safe and guaranteed to be genuine. When you add a cheap glass on front of your lens, you're gambling with your final image result - either with ghosting, flares, color noise, etc.
