I was having some trouble with an old worn doorbell and wanted a inexpensive replace doorbell button.The bell was easy to install and the illumination is a nice touch. The product is made mostly of plastic. It will last until I am gone so it fits my needs.I am giving five stars because the doorbell button is inexpensive, made mostly of plastic and it fits my purpose. If you want a long lasting doorbell button you may want to spend more but for me it is perfect
