Wanted to get my old new stock Canon EOS40D from 2007 back to work and felt that the compact flash cards i had where too small. This product actually works after formatting a 128GB micro SD in its SD adapter and then in the CF adapter bought.Works like a charm! Feels fast, at least as fast as the original compact flash extreme cards i used and instead of paying at least €100 for a big new CF card, this adapter allows me to use MicroSD cards that at one fifth of the price.Absolutely love it!

I use it with slower micro sd and it works on Nikon D700. Did not work with faster full sd. But maybe due to old camera

I took a gamble on this since there seems to be a lot of mixed reviews on if this works on older Canon cameras. I use a 7D and this works great but there is one thing to be aware of and I think it has to do more with the 7D than the adapter, it looks like the 7D, and I would assume most older canons, do not like SDXC and SDUC. I tried a couple SDXC cards and my computer would read and format them but the camera would give a storage error, I then got out some SDHC cards and the camera sees them and allows me to format them. I am about 1k pictures in and everything has been going great, with one exception but it is just a limitation of SD cards and that is write speed. I hit the buffer sooner on bust shots with the SD card than with my CF cards.

This worked just fine as part of a stack of adapters - I adapted Micro-SD to regular SD, then stuck that SD into this and plugged it into a Compact Flash to SATA adapter, which then connected to a SATA to optical drive bay adapter which plugged into my laptop. Read/write speeds were about 20 MB/sec, but who knows what in that pile of adapters was setting that speed.The important thing was it worked!
