Cafe Du Monde Beignet Mix, 28oz Doos

We bought this as we went to New Orleans, but didn’t have any room in our luggage to bring this home with us. This was a great option and it was the same cost as buying it in New Orleans. We made them and they came out perfect. It brought back great memories. Making them small was the trick to have them come out delicious.

Really easy to make and turned out amazing! So great to have fresh beignets!

Quality

First batch cooked and I was impressed, one of the best packet mixes I’ve ever used (for anything).I’ve been trying to recreate the Mickey Beignets from Port Orleans, and this wasn’t far off - I just need to work on the thickness and the oil temperature and then I think we’ll be up to five stars.It’s expensive in the UK, but that’s to be expected and you do get a lot out of the mix. The instructions say you should get about a dozen from two cups, I halved that as I didn’t want so many, but still got ten, with some dough leftover

I love Cafe Du Monde's coffee and this makes a perfect Cafe Du Monde experience when paired and served with the right sugar (follow the ritualistic directions they just work). Will keep buying this and glad it is easy to get online now!
