When it's time to put the short socks away, these are my go to. From my Amazon shopping list I see it's my third late October/early November prepping for winter with these. They give just the right amount of compression and hold my foot without ever getting too loose. Holes have previously been caused by accidentally scraping against an uneven floorboard or the like. But with regular wear they are very durable. + they look great with all kinds of pants for all kinds occasions. I used to feel a bit embarrassed before I had these socks and would find myself in shoes-off circumstances. Not any more! And they cover enough leg to keep the cold out my pants even without leggings/tights/long underwear.
