This is just what I what after. Our RV fridge doesn't have those little things you can stick on the tabs (different design) so finding that was a good alternative. At first I thought the magnets had no strength but it turned out our fridge's outer edge was lacking metal this could stick to! So I bought a small package of stick on metal plates and put one of those where I needed and this is working great. I like how you don't have to have the door open 3-5 inches... this lets me have it cracked open about an inch and the doors aren't in the way as you pass by. Great product.Forgot to mention that the round part was not large enough to grab the doors. I used a bracket from a ceiling fan mount to give it that extra grab and this works perfectly

Worked just as described. Strong magnet Holds door in place while in storage. Other reviewers complained about setting this up on frig and then moving RV and it comes dislodge. I bought this for storage purposes only. The issue I had, I would use the factory slide bars to keep the doors from sealing shut while in storage. I would walk by the frig, barely touch the doors and they would close, and half the time I didn't realize it. This solved that problem for me. Once installed while in storage the doors are staying open until you remove this device. no more accidently closing.

First, it works. However, the size of the part with the magnet (the hold open standoff part) is too small and only works on my fridge in exactly one position -- if it is positioned off (up or down) by a millimeter or so, it won't hold the doors equally open, and this then compromises the performance of the other side in holding the doors from swinging open. The other side is also too small to really engage with the doors well. The slider for holding position on the string is weak and easily defeated. But this device does work for a stationary situation. If a bit larger, much stronger magnet, and more slider holding power, could be made to work during travel such as taking in for and leaving in at service. (Of course when we're on a trip the fridge is on, so don't need it for that.)
