I haven't fully tested this yet, but so far, so good!As a distance runner that sweats A LOT (more than anyone I know), I've used a Camelbak FlashFlo (waist pack, 50 oz reservoir) for a while (14 years? more?) for training runs up to about 13 miles. Beyond that, I would either plan runs around having a place to stop and refill (sometimes back at home), or used a backpack-style Camelbak (2 or 3 liter).During runs with the backpack style I thought about how it needed to be better for running. Good waist belt is key to put the weight hips instead of shoulders. Thought about whether the reservoir could be turned sideways to lower the center of gravity. Wanted to be able to cinch up the pack as water is drank to prevent the excess movement. Wanted to be able to carry additional items (like phone, keys, food).Skyline LR meets all of that. The belt can be cinched on-the-go. My iPhone 8 fits in the belt and can be pulled out / put in while running. Large storage pocket on back, plus a smaller one good for keys and other items. After some time away, I am getting back into regular running. I've only tried this out on a 4 mile run so far but had absolutely no issues with it.Also believe it will make a great day-hike pack as well.

Have been swapping between a back pack and a bum bag for a while. These seem to be a good middle option for a lot of my rides, big enough to carry some spares, food or extra layers. Comfy when in use and doesn't seem to bounce about on the trail

Purchased to replace my Lobo pack. Seems to have much more storage even though only listed as 1L larger than the lobo. Very comfortable to have the weight lower on my back and lumbar straps take a lot of weight off the shoulders plus keep the pack in place as you go over jumps, rocks, logs etc (you know, when doing fun mountain biking stuff)Wide opening main pouch really helps will filling the reservoir and the shorter crux is easier to put back in the pouch than the taller type for the Lobo & Mule.Lumbar pouches are great for phone and snacks. Can access without taking the pack off. Very handy. Can fit an 11 inch long trail saw in the tool pocket as well along with pump. Would be plenty of room for a tube as well I think. Tool roll is hand for organizing small stuff, but it does get thick when filled with a couple of CO2s and other small tools.

UPDATE:Still love it to death, but I've noticed something while riding more mud trails. There's nothing to cover the mouthpiece from the elements when you're not drinking from it. I found myself with a mouthful of mud a few times, while my girlfriend's $25 pack has a cover for her mouthpiece. I'm a little jealous now, but other than that... I maintain that this is a GREAT pack!ORIGINAL REVIEW:Feels great to wear, and I love the little magnetic clip for the mouth piece. It's not overly generous with space for packing other things, but it's more of a waist pack than a full on backpack... so that's to be expected. Great for what it does, and I love the little tool organizer that came with it. I just leave my pack tools in there now, and pack it when headed out for a ride. Great bag! Well thought out...
