This adapter fits the Soto gas canister connector perfectly unlike the versions with plastic. You can use cheap butane canisters with the stove by laying down the canister with the black tab facing up to light the stove, then once the gasification tube has heated a little you can stand the canister on its end to run as a liquid stove. Lay it down again to purge the liquid before turning off.I am using it with a Campingaz cp250 cartridge which is an isobutane mix, but cheap butane only canisters have the same connection so will work except in very cold temperatures where it may be too cold for the liquid butane to gas off in the canister. This is where isobutane works. Note, the Soto gas adapter works with standard screw on cartridges which work out a lot more expensive than these aerosol type cartridges.

Works great. Nice tight fit with good build quality. Doesn't seem to leak gas at all. Like that the plastic is glass reinforced. Only thing that could make this better is a little travel pouch or something to keep dirt, dust and water off it. But for the price I would not expect one to be included, at least not one of good quality and I don't want a cheap throw-away included that just goes into the landfill, so I think the right choices were made by the company. Great stuff!

beware do not buy this piece cra.. Impossible to get it gas tight

Bought weed burner on trip to local Hime Bargain after everywhere else had sold out. Picked up their multi pack butane at a kern price. Get home to find the burner is EN417 but the canisters use a cheaper connection. Took a chance buying this adapter but works perfectly hence can now use the cheaper canisters. Happy days!
