This sandwich maker is easy & convenient to use. The handles come off so it can be stored easily when not in use. It cooks foods fairly quickly & is easy to clean. It would not be good for campfires because the handle is too short, but works great for camping stoves, grills or other heating/cooking devices. Also, the handles get hot so an oven mitt is necessary to handle it. This sandwich maker is a good quality item with a nice design that is convenient for making sandwiches.

I primarily got this when we are out hiking or camping and want to make some toasties - quite a niche thing I know but my daughter is obsessed with cheese!It's very well made. The 'head' is made of aluminium so heats up/cools down very quickly which is really what you want for this sort of thing out camping.It's a great design to be honest - you screw the two stainless steel handles into the head and away you go. It's hinged but interlocks and comes undone if you want to use it as a single 'pan' over a flame.The head has serrations on it which help grip on your burner platform so it's not slipping around like a smooth pan would.It has a nice little folding clip at the base which I thought was for hanging but it's to lock the two halves together and it works really well.It's got some weight to it so I wouldn't want to be carrying this in my backpack - more a back of the car item when you're camping close by.It works really well at making toasties and it's very 'non-stick'.Ok so the concerning bit, according to the supplied manual:"Bakeware surface: Fluorine plastic paint".Those are three words you don't want to see on anything touching your food. If you're anything like me, I've removed all non-stick items from my kitchen and only use stainless. Do some googling on the health concerns if you're new to this. I only got this as it's not like I'll be using it every day and consuming large quantities of 'coating'. But if you're really concerned, you may want to source a stainless alternative but be warned things may stick - however for a toastie - I can't really imagine it being much of an issue!I think the price of £24.99 is fair because it's very well made. I have a fair few campingmoon items now and I rate them all.
