This item gives you multiple tripod thread mounting holes and a post grip style clamp which is handy for mounting to a camera cage etc.I use mine to mount my mic and webcam onto a mic boom/arm for streaming and it’s super handy to have all the different mounting holes.Would have been nice to get some plastic shims to step the post clamp down to smaller sizes but at this price it’s not fair to expect that and they’re easily available elsewhere cheaply.
