Pretty much mandatory of you want to make nice custom layouts.BEWARE : I bought two of these and all 12 track pieces have the exact manufacturing defects. The plastic "lip" between the outer stainless steel rails which purpose is to prevent short-circuit between rails (positive and negative) is cracked and it makes a bulged. I didn't test them yet but it's most probably gonna increase deslotting when the guide is gonna hit the bulge.
