Me encargó esta lupa un amigo y después de más de un mes de uso está encantado con el producto.El quería una lupa con buena capacidad de aumento para identificar pequeños insectos que a simple vista casi ni se ven y que suponen plagas en las hojas de ciertos cultivos. Pero las aplicaciones de esta lupa van mucho más allá porque se puede utilizar para numerosos campos: numismática, filatelia, textiles, electrónica, mineralogía, entomología, botánica, etc., y en general para cualquier aplicación en la que sea necesario observar objetos pequeños sin llegar a la capacidad de ampliación de un microscopio, pero con la ventaja de la portabilidad (cabe en un bolsillo).El producto es de construcción sólida y cuando se pliega es muy compacto y ocupa realmente poco espacio para guardarlo fácilmente en la cajita de plástico incluida.La mayoría de las lupas tienen una sola lente. Esta lupa dispone de dos lentes, siendo una ajustable mediante rosca, lo que le da la posibilidad de enfoque. Puede enfocar objetos que se encuentre tanto por encima como por debajo de la base de apoyo. La rosca de la lente superior gira de forma suave y precisa.La calidad óptica es buena y sin distorsiones (10 aumentos).La base tiene marcas graduadas tanto en milímetros como en pulgadas, para tener una idea aproximada de las dimensiones del objeto observado. The main takeaway with the LT-10 is that it has a clear, undistorted image (because I think they are using an aspheric lens), and the LED light is positioned very well, illuminating the subject from an angle with no glare.The construction quality is good for the price. There are firm and smooth hinges when opening and folding the loupe. The focusing ring is greased. The plastic case is not bad either! You could put the item in a bag or your pocket, no problem. The overall height of the case is 24 mm, it's not a big bulge in a pocket, not much more than many keyfobs+keys. One minor issue (not really a fault of the product) is that it will take a few seconds to fold out the loupe when you wish to use it, compared to the simpler loupes. But that's the price you pay for compactness.In use, there are actually a couple of ways you could operate it. One is in the normal loupe setup. The other is that you can kind of unfold it in a stretched-out arrangement (you can see that in one of the photos in this review), and simply hold from the base and use it as sort of a handheld magnifier/loupe. That's very convenient if you wish to look at an object from different angles, rather than end-on. I find it useful when inspecting the sides of a surface-mount component on a printed circuit board. When used in that mode of operation, you can hold it such that the lens is about one inch away from the component. Although it is a loupe rather than a normal magnifier, I've found that I can position my head about 3 inches away from the lens if desired, and still get a good view.There's not a lot to dislike. Perhaps the LED slide switch may eventually wear out. But the LT-10 is low-cost to replace. I've purchased two, so that one can be left on the desk in the unfolded position.In summary, the image quality is excellent, and the build quality is not bad at all. The LT-10 is versatile because it can (sort-of) be used as a hand loupe by unfolding in a stretched-out arrangement of its plastic limbs. Recommended for quick inspection of printed circuit boards! I have had success with inspecting surface-mount parts on PCBs with as fine as 0.4 mm pitch soldered connections.
