Casio Horloge EFV-100D-1AVUEF, Zilver, één maat

I am an avid watch fan and love all things horology. In the past 5 years I have owned in excess of 40 watches ranging from £50-£1500, Swiss, Japanese, German Russian and Chinese.This Casio is in my opinion the perfect watch.Lets get the bad stuff out of the way:1. the bracelet has folded links and hollow end links. However, it totally suits the watch as it makes it so lightweight and comfortable and absolutely does not detract from the look (you can't tell).2. The crystal is mineral, it will scratch if you bash it about.3. The lume is average, but I can read the time all night.But what really makes this watch is the fact its £60, look utterly amazing and is all the watch I ever need. Keep that £8,000 you were going to drop on a Rolex Sub and invest it, your kids will thank you.Its the perfect balance between sporty and dressy that means it will go with any outfit except a very smart suit (although many would wear this with a suit also, I think a white dial dress watch with black leather strap is the only watch you should ever wear with a suit).So enamored with this watch am I that it now is the only watch I wear and there exists only 1 other in my collection, my dress watch, that I wear maybe 2 or 3 times per year.I know this is a very subjective review but seriously, after years of agonising over the best Swiss movements, complications, sapphire crystals, solid bracelets, end links and milled clasps, COSC certifications, in house calibres, this has made me realise what is important in a wrist watch, its pulled me out of the rabbit hole of watch obsession:Legibility - the dial is so so legible without being a sterile fliegerComfort - some of the Swiss automatic divers I owned were positively uncomfortably heavy, I mistook weight for quality and pretended I liked the heft.Uncomplicated - I have owned chronographs and tachometers, but I dont race, I owned ISO certified diving watches, I don't SCUBA dive, I have had watches rated to 1000m, wtf, I swim in my local baths, I have had GMT complications, I fly once or twice a year, usually in Europe. I've contemplated a Rolex Milgauss, but this quartz movement can be kept next to a powerful magnet and still work fine (I actually own a de-mangetiser which I've had to use on more than one occasion on my automatics)Accuracy - this watch is more accurate than any COSC certified watch I've owned, it keeps -2 seconds every couple of weeks.There's no solar, no kinetic, no automatic movement, no handwinding, but the battery lasts 3 years and can be replaced, watch seal replaced and re pressure tested all for about £5 DIY or £25-30 in a shop. Failing that you could buy a new one!As for the good specs, well...Case 40mm, with crown 42mm, lug to lug 48mm, thickness 11mm, lug width 20mm, clasp 18mm, weight 125gScrew in (signed) crown, screw in case back, 100m Water resistance (enough to swim and snorkel with)This watch is designed for telling the time an date for people who work in an office, shop, factory, warehouse, play sports, go swimming, go out to dinner, to be pub and generally live a normal life!This watch is everything you need, and nothing you don't. Its not luxury jewelry, its not a professional instrument, its not a status symbol, its not a conversation starter at a dinner party, its a watch!!

Reconozco que lo compré pensando que no me iba a gustar, que iba a sentir que llevaba una versión cutre del Omega Aquaterra, o del Rolex Oyster Perpetual, pero la verdad es que me ha encantado. Evidentemente las características de este Casio son muy distintas: no lleva cristal de zafiro sino mineral (pero no lo hecho de menos), tampoco lleva un carísimo movimiento mecánico in-house sino un barato pero muy preciso y confiable movimiento de cuarzo (y lo prefiero), por esto último el segundero avanza segundo a segundo y no a 8 pasos por segundo (reconozco que eso sí que me gustaría, pero bueno...), y donde realmente creo que se nota la diferencia es en la cadena metálica (armis) que no tiene eslabones sólidos y cuando la mueves suena un poquito cutre (incluso chirría un poco a veces).A pesar de todo lo anterior, este reloj me tiene enamorado. Desde que lo tengo ya no me pongo otro. Es muy cómodo, de aspecto elegante y sencillo (mucho mejor en directo que en foto). Tiene un tamaño ideal para muñecas de 17 mm. El cierre es muy bueno, y tiene un microajuste que es más que suficiente. La corona es roscada y eso encaja bien con los 100m de resistencia al agua. La legibilidad es muy buena (mi versión es la de dial negro), aunque no tiene luz y el lumen de las manillas es simbólico (no esperes ver la hora a oscuras, aquí este reloj cojea). Por supuesto, es muchísimo más preciso que cualquier reloj mecánico (incluídos todos los que valen un riñón), y sinceramente, por 68 euros me parece un buen negocio. Lo volvería a comprar sin dudarlo.Y por último, para que entendáis donde está mi vara de medir, os diré que no tengo relojes caros en mi colección, y me muevo entre Seikos de la serie 5 y algún solar, los Bambino de Orient, y en general relojes que no pasan de los 200 euros. Si sueles llevar relojes de 3.000 euros quizás no debas hacer caso a esta reseña.

Non mi dilungo: 5 stelle meritatissimo.Preso a 70 euro, questo è un orologio che offre moltissimo. Aspetto elegante, sembra un orologio di circa 200 euro minimo.Quadrante dai giochi di luce favoloso, lancetta e scritta sapphire gialle, gran Lumen e si illuminano pure gli indici. Bracciale ben rifinito.Ma soprattutto: CORONA A VITE! A 70 euro! Incredibile!Tra ansa e ansa misura 20 mm, quindi potete facilmente cambiare bracciale. Io alterno quello originale con cinturino in gomma. Il risultato è eccezionale.Comprerò anche quello blu e forse anche il bianco, sono degli orologi con un rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente.Fidatevi di me, compratelo ;)

La linea edifice è stata per me una bella scoperta. Si tratta, in buona sostanza, di una linea migliore rispetto a quella base, a partire, per esempio, da cassa in acciaio inox (e non rame cromato che dopo qualche anno si screpola), quadrante illuminato al buio, cinturino con chiusura migliore.A sua volta gli edifice sono disponibili con vetro minerale (come questo) e con vetro zaffiro, che riportano la sigla "sapphire" sul quadrante. Questo è a vetro minerale, ma per me non è un problema perché sono sicuro che è un minerale di qualità e quindi ci vuole molto per danneggiarlo. Ma veniamo alle mie opinioni.Lo stile è un po' anonimo nel senso che è uno stile classico dei solo tempo, solo lancette, senza secondiere, l'indicazione del giorno che è bella grande. Insomma è bello da vedere ma non attira l'attenzione.È abbastanza leggero grazie alle maglie vuote (a questo prezzo impossibile pretendere di più. Il cinturino visibilmente cheap, ma ho visto di peggio allo stesso range di prezzo.La precisione è il suo cavallo di battaglia. Credo che siamo su qualche secondo al mese! Su questo Casio è la numero uno.Ho trovato enormi difficoltà a stringere il bracciale. I piolini li ho tolti con notevole difficoltà anche rompendoli. Per cui mettete già in conto l'intervento di un orologiaio o di qualche amico pratico.Per il momento è tutto. Con il tempo aggiornerò questa opinione: sono a dieci giorni soltanto di utilizzo!
