So, until now, when I needed a lot of ice cubes, I've always bought them in bags from a supermarket. I didn't even realise there was such a thing as a compact home ice cube maker!If you throw parties or generally entertain on a regular basis, this Caso IceChef ice cube maker could be a game changer!It takes a while to get it set up and running, (the instruction manual is clear and easy to follow) so don't expect to plug it in and get ice cubes minutes after unpacking the machine. But from then on, you can have a daily supply of ice cubes right there in your kitchen.(Ice cubes are also handy for reviving wool carpeting and rugs from those annoying indentations caused by furniture legs!).Ultimately, the question you might need to answer is, have I got enough counter top space to have this ice cube maker out permanently. Because if you need to hide it away in a cupboard most of the time, maybe think twice about buying one. It's quite heavy to be putting away and taking out on a regular basis. But, if you do need or want a continuous supply of ice cubes and have the counter space, this one is a very good contender.
