The seat on my new e-bike was slipping as the seat post adapter that came with it was plastic. I got this to replace the plastic part and while the fit was spot-on, it did NOT stop the slipping. The outside of the adapter was machined so it presented a rough surface, but the inside was as smooth as a baby's bottom.So, there was gripping power where it wasn't needed as the outside rim of the adapter keeps it in place. And where the gripping power WAS needed, on the inside to grip the seat post, there wasn't any!I had to buy a different adapter that was machined on both the inside and outside so that my seat would no longer slip...

Measure twice, check your outside diameters and inside diameters of the bike frame, and seat post you're going to use. Also, extremely important use similar metals Aluminum on aluminum no dissimilar metals like aluminum in a steel frame. It will corrode and seize up big time.
