I ordered this protection vs other headbands that were more like a sweat band for my daughter who experienced a concussion after doing to many "headers" in a game. She plays outside mid and defender and instinctively uses her head when she plays defensive. She can direct the ball with her head was well as a kick. Unfortunately, with all the concussion research and post-concussive syndrome, we decided she needs some form of protection. It is not perfect because the research is inconclusive as to whether these headbands prevent concussions.However, I do think it helps. She did a head to head with another player and she wisely sat out the rest of the game. She was wearing the head gear and did not have any lingering headaches the next day. It does provide some temple protection too. I only gave the product 4 stars because I don't think it can prevent all types of concussion that can occur in play.As for playing with it, she is getting use to it. Initially she felt it affected her ability to head the ball in to net on a corner because it affects her direction. But wearing it at practice has helped because she has scored with her head on corners. She also said it makeS her forehead break out, but we now wash it in cold water with gentle soap.MOST IMPORTANTLY, HER INITIAL CONCUSSION THAT PROPELLED US TO BUY A HEADBAND WAS NOT FROM ANY DIRECT IMPACT, BUT MULTIPLE HEADERS. HER BIGGEST SYMPTOMS THAT LINGERED WERE HEADACHES AND SENSITIVITY TO LIGHT.SHE ENDED UP ON "BRAIN REST" (NO TV, TEXTS, COMPUTERS, SCHOOLWORK, ETC.) FOR FIVE DAYS TO PROMOTE RECOVERY. WE MADE THE MISTAKE OF NOT RECOGNIZING THE SYMPTOMS SOON ENOUGH AND THAT'S WHY HER SYMPTOMS WORSENED. SHE WAS NOT CLEARED TO PLAY SOCCER FOR 30 DAYS. GOOD LUCK AND PLAY SAFE!!

After my son took a nasty hit we had to get him something, we had the foam helmet but that gets too hot cause of his hair. This thing is perfect

My daughter has played soccer since she was about 4 years old. She has a passion for the sport and plays it every second she has. She is now 14 and plays it all the time. With soccer comes injuries. One injury I don't want her to have is a concussion. I want to protect her neck and head as much as possible so I thought I would get this for her to use. She is big on heading the ball and for this reason, I thought this would be good. I got it in and she tried it on. It fits really good on her head. I has a lot of padding around it. It is bulky to wear. She doesn't like it for that reason but it does offer great protection. I have other players on the team that do wear this and they wear it all the time. I think it is a great product and will continue to support it.

My son has been wearing this for travel soccer for 2 years now. He has a hearing loss in one ear which could worsen with a concussion, and a former coach told us about the Full90. It is comfortable, stays on perfectly, and comes in his team color! I bought them for both my sons for soccer and had my younger one w/out the hearing loss wearing it too. People tend to ask about it once, we respond "for head protection" and no one has ever said anything to the boys except positive comments, like "yeah, that is a good idea." So many articles about concussions these days, protection is a great idea. It is allowed in rule book by soccer organization (NISL in our case), and I hope someday they will make it mandatory to protect all the kids!

My daughter needed a little more protection during soccer games (minor concussion and knocked down a few times), so I decided it was time to get the Full90 Headgear. I got the premier one, but I just couldn't get it to fit her head properly... there was a gap just above her eyebrows and then it would just keep creeping up her head. We adjusted the straps every which way that we could, but it didn't help. I called customer service at Full90 and he basically said that it would not fit every head. He told me to return it, so I did. Too bad. I believe this could be a great product... if it fit!
