The top is like a blanket. Perfect for cats that love a little warmth, but for my cat it was a bit too much.Also I bought too diffrent baskets and he just didn't even take a look at this one.I'm sorry

I’ve two adult cats and I live in a largish 3 bedroom house. My cats seem to have a favourite spot in about 20 places, but they leave a mass of cat hair in each area they sleep and I try to have blankets, beds and scratching pads in as many places as possible. If they sleep on the carpet, I can vacuum as much as I like, but there’s still a mark left on my carpet, so I much prefer to give them a bed etc. My son likes the cats on his bed, but he much prefers to put cat beds at the bottom of his bed to limit the cat hairs and the cats do actually prefer to use the bed rather than his duvet.I had a lot of fluffy blankets, but I’m replacing them with cat beds. Not only does it look nicer, but it contains the cat hairs better and as previously mention, the cats prefer their own bed too.I’ve found the cats like areas that contain them and that’s why this cat cave/bed got my attention. Plus it’s big enough for an adult cat and it’s a lovely neutral colour. After researching, a light grey is actually less obvious than a cream, or so these interior design experts say. I obviously want a pretty cat bed in my home, but I don’t want it to be a focal point. This cat cave matches all my criteria and for the cats too.Even although it’s large enough for a big adult cat, the cave is also very fluffy with lots of filling and would be perfect for a little kitten too. Both kitten and cat would feel enclosed and cosy, as it’s a clever design.I’ve introduced quite a lot of new beds over the past 6 months and find the cats need a few days to sniff it and rub against it before using it. However, a little tip; sprinkle cat nip throughout the bed for faster results and also leave the bed somewhere close to yourself for a week. Your cat feels safer using something new when you’re relaxing very close by, then within the week you can place it wherever you wish.My two cats were actually in the room when I unpacked this bed and were immediately interested, even before I popped some cat nip in it.Cats are funny creatures and don’t always take to new beds, I’m not sure why. But, thankfully this bed was a big hit straight away.I’m overall very pleased with this cat cave. It looks great in my home and it’s a big hit with my cats. A perfect addition to my home. Me esperaba peor calidad, dado su precio, y he de reconocer que está muy bien. Es suave, mullida y calentita. El antideslizante de la base podría ser mejor pero cumple su función. El cojín interior se puede quitar para lavarlo. Mis gatas no la usan demasiado pero porque ellas son muy particulares con los sitios donde duermen. Sí se ponen encima, porque la parte de arriba se aplasta. Buena relación calidad-precio

My cat cave turned up within a couple of days, it was packed very well, it's super soft and squishy it is also very well padded if it was any bigger I would definitely use it for myself to sleep in as it looks so comfortable, my new kittens seem to be very impressed with their lovely new soft bed and I'm sure once they've finished jumping around on it they will be cuddling up in there together for an afternoon nap time
