Our two guinea pigs get regular floor and sofa time, and these mats are useful for protecting the furniture and carpets. The liquids don't wick away as effectively as on vet bed, which is used in their pen, so I wouldn't use them full time.This is how I rate my items:★★★★★ | Excellent product. I’ve used them for my guinea pigs and they do a great job of absorbing urine without odour buildup. A reliable reusable option that keeps the cage fresh and mess free!

I'm not sure why they are limiting their liners to just Guinea Pigs. These waterproof liners are good for pretty much any small to medium pet, and are not a bad idea for catching human or household spills which might also occur.Size is a little smaller than stated in the listing - It is supposed to be 24 x 18". Mine was 22.6" x 17.75" Inches. Or 57.5 x 45cm. That won't be a problem for me, but seriously it should be possible to measure the thing and get it right for the listing !!Other than that, the stitching and workmanship is excellent, with nice rounded corners and a kind of quilted look, even though I think the stitched look is done with a heat press.The base of the pad feels like nylon, with rubber dots on it, for extra grip, so it doesn't slip around.I tested the absorbency and waterproofness by squeezing all of a 10ml syringe onto the surface. The dampness spread sideways fairly quickly, but no dampness got through to the under-surface. I do think that there is not a lot of absorbency there, so if a large amount of fluid was leaked close to the edge of the pad, then it is possible that some dampness could get through. Make sure your pet only pees in the centre of the pad !!Quality is good. Price is reasonable.

These mats would be good for a small pets cage but unfortunately they are too small for our cage.The mats are well made and seem like they would hold up to regular washing, only washed once after testing, they also dry vey quickly being so thin.The mats can hold a small amount of liquid but this does just spread over the surface of the mat and not drawn away from the surface as i was expecting. The mat did prevent the liquid soaking through the mat well so that's a plus.
