These scissors from CCR are pretty basic looking but with a rather nice 2-tone black and gold finish that looks more like brass in colour to me. Despite their basic look they feel really solid and well-made, and by that I mean they feel like they’d last forever, come what may! They’re long, which I like – 26.5cm, with a 13.5cm cutting edge. I've been using them for some HT vinyl projects, and for cutting into canvas and they've been really great for those tasks. They slice through fabric really easily, probably because they're so sharp and the shanks are nice and long. The points, while still “pointy”, are slightly rounded, which is a nice safety feature. The shanks and the pivot nut that hold them together have been treated to a gold plated titanium finish, which looks kinda classy (or should I say, “brassy”). One thing I noticed is that the handles are angled a bit, which actually makes it so much easier to keep the material flat while you're cutting. In fact, the bows (handles) and the shanks are so perfectly horizontal that I was able to stand these scissors on edge so they sat upright! The bottom handle is also a bit bigger, so it's comfy to hold and get my fingers through the bows. Honestly, for what they cost, I think they're a really good deal here. They're definitely sturdy enough for canvas fabric, card and paper, and being titanium coated I guess that helps them stay sharp and stops them from rusting.
