This is a used product. So I didn't expect it to be new. However, it was not properly cleaned and the inside is full of grease which made the product smell bad. Maybe that's just part of the not-new product but it also shows that it is part of the difficulty to clean this Cecotec appliance.If I compare the Cecotec with other 1.5 L products (that I also bought on Amazon for comparison to find a suitable product: Tristar and Bestron) it is the most heavy and most big size (and probably the most stable). The construction concept is same as bestron where the heating element is in the oilcan. However, compared to Bestron where the heating element can be removed from the oilcan, in the Cecotec, the heating element is mounted fixed inside the oilcan which makes it troublesome to clean. The oilcan has connectors so the oilcan+heating element can be removed from the fryer for "easy" removing the oil (but not so much cleaning which is better if the heating element is removable as well). Becouse the heating element is fixed inside the oilcan with connectors to the frying machine, it has also double the frying basket size compared to the Bestron. The Bestron has a really tiny basket. The Cecotec and Bestron are more like the smaller brother of the big frying machines where the Tristar is more like a frying pan+lid with inside /build in heating element (so no heating element visible).Personally I prefer the Tristar kind of solution. The lesser parts and things like heating rods that are visible and stick out, the more easy it is to handle and clean, the smaller the product is, the less oil is needed inside the fryer. Disadvantage with this Tristar like solution is that the oilcan can not be removed and removing oil is more difficult than with the Cecotec and Bestron.

Een goed functionerende frituurpan met 900 watt, beter zou het 1200 watt zijn, de opwarmtijd is nu circa 13 minuten, met 1200 watt zou het waarschijnlijk sneller opwarmen, maar ik ben heel tevreden.

Weinig gekend merk maar kwaliteitsvol

Ho usato molte friggitrici in passato, ma devo dire che questa è la migliore, a questo prezzo non si trova niente di paragonabile. La caratteristica che la rende unica è il cestello completamente estraibile, che facilità enormemente le operazioni di pulizia. Inoltre la resistenza è direttamente a contatto con l'olio, cosa che accelera i tempi di riscaldamento e i tempi di cottura. La capacità è sufficiente per due porzioni di patate fritte, ma ci ho fritto praticamente di tutto con ottimi risultati, dal pesce, alle frittelle, ai carciofi e prodotti surgelati.
